It's not too much of a stretch that Vault 21, a vault in very close proximity to House (who is the CEO of RobCo, manufacturer of the PipBoy's) would receive the most modern version of the Pipboy before anyone else. I recently tried installing the Pipboy-2500 mod but I found it far too buggy for my liking, so I installed a similar mod, the Pipboy-3500, and I'm wondering whether it's lore friendly.
